Kirlian Photography The use of Kirlian 'cameras' has been well documented in research of energetic profiles of many 'things' including plants, both dead and alive so to speak. Kirlian photography can also be used as a form of 'energetic' diagnosis of people apart from the aura diagnosis that is usually thought of by most people. Within Modern Acupuncture it is used to profile and monitor a patients progress and also to see if the treatment that has been applied is starting to correct a patients 'energetic' profile, by utilising the quadrants shown with Kirlian Photography. The following series of Kirlian photo's demonstrates the use of these 'photo's' as a valid monitoring system of applied Modern Acupuncture treatment. Female patient 64 years old. Condition sub-arachnoid haemorrhage which at first was diagnosed as being 'arthritic' migraine, I need to add that this diagnosis was by the Hospital not her GP ! She was unable to sit or lie down, or find any position that would alleviate her severe headache and vomiting, with strong pain killers given by Hospital. Her son gave her homoeopathic remedies at first and then in what can only be described as desperation manipulated her cervical (neck) to relieve the cranial pressure. From here she was able to lie down without the symptoms of severe headache or vomiting, which returned immediately on elevation of her head.
4 days later after her son kept insisting that she had neurological signs and symptoms, her GP intervened with the Hospital and she was admitted for observation. She was then transferred to a Neurosurgical unit for an emergency operation on a sub-arachnoid haemorrhage.
Prognosis of operation - at best severe hemiplegia (stroke) with loss of eyesight and co-ordination problems and she would be in Hospital for the rest of her life in a wheelchair at best, the exact phrase used was "she will be a cabbage if she lives". After operation the above prognosis / outcome was as described. She was in intensive care unit for 5 weeks and then later transferred to Astley Hospital in UK.
Her son managed to persuade the Neurosurgeon to let him apply basic acupuncture while she was in Hospital. Credit and the utmost praise must be given to the Occupational Therapy department in the retraining of her muscles and functional movement.
Physiotherapy for whatever reason was very limited and they tried to block her acupuncture treatment at first from being applied, even though her son was a qualified Modern Acupuncturist ?
The following are a set of photo's taken when she was allowed home for a weekend stay with her son and his wife.
Photo 1 You will notice that her left hand cannot be held up, it 'drags' on the left of the photo plate.
Photo 2 The second photo above is after treatments every day for 1 week, black 'blob' on right foot, bladder and stomach meridians / energy lines. Notice the left hand is not dragging the same on the photo plate. You cannot hold her hand because of the high voltages involved, and the practitioner would be used as an earth, and get a good 'belt' if they even tried !
Photo 3 After further treatment the 3rd photo was taken, notice the black 'blob' on left foot bladder meridian / energy line.
Photo 4 After further ongoing daily treatments.
The lady was allowed home as she had progressed to walking of a fashion with assistance and decent co-ordination in comparison to after her operation of being confined to a wheelchair. Later she progressed to using a tripod walking stick for movement around the house etc.
The last photo is after she refused treatment and was eventually persuaded to have a photo and follow on treatment as she was regressing.
Photo 5 Notice the black 'blobs' starting to appear again after refusing treatment.
This ladies case history was written up in the Lancet as being the first successful treatment of a sub-arachnoid haemorrhage as these patients usually died after surgery !
How do we know all of the details of this case history overview ? Well its the authors Mother who was a retired nurse and didn't believe in what he practiced.
As a side note the neurosurgeon stated after my mothers operation that they couldn't understand why her haemorrhage had stopped as this condition or the operation usually killed the person because of the bleeding ? I explained that we had used complex homoeopathic remedies in view of her symptomatic picture at first with manipulation, to which he replied that this couldn't have done anything as they don't work ! Remember she was unable to get into any position without symptoms, until manipulation and homoeopathic remedies ?
So instead of trying the remedies on patients with sub-arachnoid haemorrhages, whom from all accounts had nothing to lose if the prognosis was death or being a cabbage ? I wonder how many other patients died from this closed mind set ?
Funny how she was the first person to 'survive' this type of operation at 64 years old, she is now 80 years old.
This case history using Kirlian Photography was used to illustrate the many different forms of diagnosis and diversity available within Modern Acupuncture.
