Colours Affect Our Lives ?
Colours affect everyone, in one way or another. They can make you happy / energised or sad and maybe not so energised. Ever noticed how a football team with red shirts plays OK or really well, but if they change their shirt colour to shall we say blue, they don't play as well as you would expected them to ?
Colour can also be a double edged sword red will excite you but blue will calm you, experiments done with the American Navy proved that by arresting a merry sailor who would normally be an aggressive type without alcohol and putting them in a blue room calmed them down, when they would normally have been aggressive but even more so with alcohol, after a night out. Sailors who would normally have been be placid, even when merry with alcohol were arrested and were put in a red room, became aggressive, difference was colour nothing else. Marketing knows all about colours and their association with emotions etc., ever been to a fairground and not spent any money ?
At some time or another we all have seen someone who is for want of a better term white as a sheet ! Initial thoughts are they don't look so well, I wonder what's wrong with them ? One things for certain their circulation / oxygen isn't as good as it should be, that's why women who didn't get out in Victorian times used rouge, to make themselves attractive and looking well. If you had a choice between a white apple or a rosy red apple which would you choose ?
Today we use heat packs, lamps, heat massagers, in the 'old days' they used a red flannel with the same results / effects.
Modern acupuncture also use colours in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Colour is applied via LED's of various strengths and colours to points, it can also be applied using its own particular frequency for that colour, or they can be mixed to suit, so colour can be and is a treatment in its own right. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) use it with diagnosis but not in their treatments per say.
